altMichael Shaw, Chair.
 Michael's field is ecological design. He is an engineer by training and has been involved in all phases of the development and implementation of Living Machines™ since 1989. Together with John Todd he is the author of three wastewater treatment patents.

Michael is a founding partner of the Biomatrix Water team who have over two decades of experience designing and delivering ecological engineering projects for the treatment and recycling of municipal and industrial wastewater and bioremediation. Their design approach applies current best practice in modern wastewater treatment and process control with the latest developments in ecological engineering, to provide an effective solution to the problems of urban water pollution and aquatic habitat degradation.  Michael is Chairman of the Trustees of the Findhorn Foundation in Scotland.

altSusan Dark, Deputy Chair, is a Director at Ashberg Limited where she advises business and families on strategic and operational matters and undertakes corporate finance transactions. Susan works across industries with special focus on healthcare, precious metals/mining and renewable energy.

Susan has been a member of the senior management team within corporations and private equity and has also provided consulting services to clients. She has general management, strategic marketing, change management and investment experience. She has specifically undertaken telecoms and technology roles which include UK Managing Director and International Chief Marketing Officer at divisions of Mannesmann AG, Senior Vice President and Managing Director of Central Europe and then Asia for Technology Solutions Company, Director of European Strategic Development at Cable & Wireless plc plus management roles at Philips, Tandon and GEC Reliance.


altRuth McIntosh
is an experienced Non-Executive Director and private equity fund manager. Having qualified as a barrister and Chartered Accountant, she spent 18 years at Bridgepoint Capital, where she had extensive success in managing mid-market, private–equity investments at Board level, across a wide range of sectors. Ruth now sits on the Boards of a number of charitable, commercial and not-for-profit organisations.


altRob Johnson
is Director of Permanent Finance Recruitment & Search at Morgan Law, a small not-for-profit sector consultancy. His expertise lies in recruitment, contracts, marketing and wider business skills. During his time at Morgan Law, Rob has held numerous positions including managing Executive & Interim Management and the specialist finance recruitment team.


altAnthony Clinch
is chairman of The Valence Group, a non-executive director of Nanoco Group plc and Taminco Group Holdings S.a.r.l, a member of the supervisory board of CABB GmbH, a senior advisor to CVC Capital Partners and a member of the Advisory Board of Imperial College's Chemistry Faculty.  He was an employee of CVC Capital Partners between 1987 and 2007, including as Managing Director where he specialized in chemical industry investments.  He previously worked for Citibank in a number of managerial roles in Corporate Banking. He is a Chartered Engineer and a Member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology, having spent his early career with Rolls Royce Ltd. He holds a B.Sc. in Aeronautical Engineering and an M.Sc. in Management Science and Operational Research from Imperial College, London.

altJames Melville-Ross is a Managing Director of FTI Consulting's Strategic Communications division. He has spent 17 years in the City advising a wide range of companies on their communications and he now co-head's FTI's technology, media and telecoms practice. He advises senior executives at large and small companies on business communications issues, identifying strategies to enhance and protect their reputations and enterprise value. James founded Hacks vs Flaks, a sporting charity, in 2003. He joined the Board in 2011.
