VIPs see Teens and Toddlers in action

Following the success of 14 Teens and Toddlers projects and the significant outcomes that research and evaluation is producing, COUI UK is launching a new sustainability strategy for boroughs who wish to mainstream this work. It involves training local people in their local community to deliver the Teens and Toddlers project.

The Teens and Toddlers project hosted several visiting local government officers and councillors:

Southwark: Simon Hughes MP (Southwark, LibDem), Cllr Cathy Bowman (lead member for teenage pregnancy)

Islington: Baroness Gould, Labour Peer, Lady Elizabeth Haslam, Michael Sief Foundation

Greenwich: Cllr David Grant, Esta Orchard (Children's Participation Officer GLA)

Additionally Margaret Hodge has a scheduled visit to the Teens and Toddlers project in Islington in January 2005.
